i got my heel clicker kit today for my 03 rx1 mountain and it says i have to put 3.3 grams in the shoulder of the heelclicker weights and also 3.3 grams on the tip. i didnt get 3.3 grams right on with a digital scale at home, i got 3.4 grams with just the bolt that goes in the tip of the weight and i got 3.5 grams for the shoulder. i had to add 3 washers on this for the shoulder to get 3.5 grams. so would it be alright to just put these on? would it hurt anything if i run it like this? this is the closes i can get to 3.3 grams. please help me. this is my first time installing a clutch kit!

thanks

i weights all 3 weights also and it is 56.1, 56.4, and 56.5 grams. would this be good or i will need to make it all the same? i weight each bol too that is support to be 3.3 grams, they are all 3.4 now and they are all the same weight but not 3.3 grams. let me know what to do!

weights

mine are not mountains weights, all three of mine weigh63 grams
when using washers they won't be exact i called randy he said
not to worry about 1-2 tenths when using washers, but he said do not grind the weight, you should call randy on that matter.

i ordered mine from royal distributing and each of the weights are 56 grams. my stock ones are 70 something grams. when i ordered my kit it said rx-1/rx1 mountain 03-05. so they must be the same weights. if i install this kit the way it is would it do any damage?

I have clutched 2 bender turbo mountain RX-1,s. The weight is different on each weight & that is normal with those; it won,t hurt anything. They also weigh a lot less then the stock weights because they have a very aggressive profile & require a lot less mass to get the proper rpm,s. On a stock RX-1 mountain I think that 4 grams heel & 3 in the tip is a good starting point. I clutched a stock RX-1 at 2k elevation set up like that but they are geared higher & use a steeper helix but thats a good place to start!

is it true i gotta have 5 mm rollers before i can get this to work. it says i currently have 6.5 mm rollers and it says i needs 5 mm rollers.

15mm / 16.5mm you mean? This size is fixed because roller will not set good on heel if it's too large. I think Turk can comment more.

I would definately swap out the 16.5 mm rollers for something like a 15.6 or even down to a 14.5. Low end belt slippage can occur & you will have a very high engagement.

ya, it says i need 15.0 mm for this kit to work on my rx1 mountain. the 15.0 mm rollers came in the rx1 but there were 16.5 mm rollers in the rx1 mountain. can anyone tell me where i could get a good set of 15 mm roolers for my clutch?

Try here; http://www.mountainperformance.com/yama ... _chain.htm . The Part number for the 15.0 MM is ppt-9150 and for the 14.5 mm roller it's ppt-9145.
