helmets to use with communicaters.

looking for recomendations on new helmets. I want to transfer my sno-phone off my old HGC (very cold) to the new helmet. will that rule out a modular design? Thats what i wanted to try.

I'm not familiar with your setup, but I have the modular 2 and a chatterbox X1. The chatterbox works good in my helmet.

I have a collete comunicater that I think is the most popular. Maybe I should call them.

I have BV2S helmets for my wife and I. We use Collett 900 comunicators with the mics that hook in the helmet mask. They work awesome and you don't even know the mics are there. I think these comunicators with the BV2S helmets are the best setup on the market. I'm pretty sure you can send your comunicators to Collett and they can change the mics you have for the detachable mics needed for the modular helmets.
