I use my grizzly to collect sap for maple syrup durring the short sugar season in the north east. I went out today to inspect the machine and noticed that I had driven a stick through one of my cv boots and ripped it all apart. There is still tons of grease around the site it just happened yesterday. It is the upper boot on the rear right side. I need to get the machine back up and running asap. Is there anything else I need to replace or just the boot?? I dont think much if any mud or water got in there. I have a medial amount of mechanical ability, is this something I can do myself or should I just take it to the local yamaha stealer and get raped for $60/hour??? Im hopeing someone on here has had the same problem and can step me through changing this boot. Any help is greatly appreciated.. Thanks
Never mind, I got it all back together today. The hardest part of the job was paying $35 for the new cv boot at the local yamaha stealer. It was a pretty straightforward job. I took it all apart and put it back together in about an hour. Good thing because the sap is runnin!!
