Help with 2008 Yamaha Phazer gt

Help please!! My 2008 Yamaha Phazer gt won’t even light up .
Fuses are ok , I bought a new battery that’s charging at the moment. Old battery it’s connected and even tho it’s week should the light still come on ?

Gauge cluster lights should come on when the key and kill switch are on. Both of my 2010 Phazer's had heavily corroded ignition switch connectors that caused issues when I'd touch or move them. I used a liquid plumbing flux (acid) to eat out all the green stuff in the connectors, then sprayed them out thoroughly with electrical contact cleaner. Packed them with silicone grease and they've worked flawlessly since.
