Hit a rock while pole line riding today. Lucked out though... Only bent my lower a-arm and wrecked one bergstrom triple point. The slydog powderhound held up really well considering the ski took most of the blow, i am glad these things are so flexible. A more rigid ski would've definatlely cracked. Bought a new a-arm off eBay for $190 and removed the bent a-arm tonight. That rear bolt a beotch to remove! Any tips for getting to the nut on the lower right a-arm? With my big hands there is no way i'm gonna be able to get it back on.

All you have to do is remove all the plastic. Take all the push rivets out and the upper aarm and flex the plastic back. Once you do this you should have just enogh roomee

Yep, just keep removing plastic till you can get at it.
And while I'm sure your skis are great, I highly doubt that any decent plastic ski would crack from hitting something. I've seen them fold in two, but never seen them crack.

I've heard that you can reach them by removing the tie rod boots. You can work the rubber out from under the rivets so there's no need to drill them out. I haven't tried this because I tack welded the lower a-arm nuts to the frame so I can remove the lower a-arms without removing any plastic.

That's an awesome idea.

That'll be this summers project or sooner due to lack of winter showing up here. But that's another thread.

I welded the nuts on when I did the gussets on my subframe as well, I can now have both lower a-arms off in about 10 min and not remove any plastics. Awesome mod!!!
