Hopefully everything will be covered under waranty. This is unfortunate that this happened to your sled. If this happened to my new sled i would also be upset. After it gets fixed, hopefully you will have many trouble free miles of riding

I hope so because I really do like this sled. All my years of snowmobiling this is my first time getting towed. I have towed others and ya read about others getting towed/stranded but it's a whole different feeling when it happens to you.

No sense arguing with you gents during the honeymoon phase. Let's see how things play out of the next couple seasons. Keep an eye out for chain case, suspension, and tunnel threads ;)

This coming from someone with nearly 20,000 km experience between 5 procross sleds now.

How many problems has your father had with his in the 7000 turboed miles he's had it? :sled1:

ROFLMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
2012 and 2013 Procross are NOTHING like the quality and performance of the 2014. You lost all credibility with me comparing them. Oh wait, the 2008 Nytro is just like the 2012 Nytro too I bet?

Its the exact same chassis fella, wait until you have some experience. Like I said no use arguing you will see as time goes on and mileage goes up.

Hot start, not starting, smoking rivets, seized front suspension bushings, leaking coolant lines, stripped fasteners (I posted pics on first disassemble), thumb warmer quit working, hood pops out of rear latches about every ride. Its now parked and for sale and was replaced with another machine.

Been on this site long enough to know that TurboJamie is a pretty unbiased member. All Procross issues are well documented on forums all over the web. I've seen threads about 2012,2013, and now 2014 Cat 1100T and 800 2 strokes being belt blowers. So how is the previous chassis different than the 2014 model?

How is the 2012 Nytro different from the 2008? Sure they changed the sub-frame but that has stopped half the members on this site from buying grizz tracks kit along with different a arms and spindles. Six of one, half dozen of another.

2014 Cats are not belt blowers, go back and look again. 26 documented changes to procross from 2013 to 2014 once again available via the web if you wish to look I am not posting here to try to keep from going any more off post. Ironic that my Cat has 0 clutch problem yet I had to design a fix for the Viper.

Now 2012-2013 Cat had ALOT of issues both chassis ans clutches, that is why I did not buy one. So you are right but only on 2012 - 2013

2012 Nytro was very different from 2008. Entire front end geometry changed even diff skis if I remember right, Different track and skid, etc. Once again data readily available.

I'm on my second procross chassis and haven't had nearly as many issues. All of mine can be attributed to cats manufacturing. Both turbos, but not nearly as many miles(under 4k on the cat and 3k on my xtx) Sucks for the guys that do have problems but I am a happy rider. Weird that you are in an area where selling is a problem. I dumped my cat in march last year and got what i was looking for. Just sold my Viper to a bud and buying another for next year. ;)!

I sure wish they were more popular in this area it would make my job (the guy that ends up selling everything) much easier. I'm already getting riddled why I haven't got it sold yet. We just don't see them around. I have ridden just over 10,000 km this season now and keeping track I have seen a total of 6 Viper's.

You hit on a real good point. Dealer setup and preparation. I for one have lost faith in a lot of Yamaha dealers. A good amount still have this idea that the sleds are still in the 1970 era. If they start you own it. Suspension setup and adjustment and going through it with a new customer does not mean nothing. I got a buddy who bought a new Vector LTX a couple of years ago. Went to pick it up and it was at the back door. Signs the papers and the dealer says thanks its yours. They did not explain a thing. He rode it for about a week called me complaining he made a big mistake. It rides like a lumber wagon. I went over and helped him setup the rider sag on the sled. He rode it and it was like a new sled. He loves it now. No one at the dealership even made an attempt. He is looking at a new 2015 Viper I told him to look for another dealer. Some of them just do not get it.

Is he bragging or complaining?

Looks like Sunday was a day for chaincases to go, I am on the same page...but JT and Stingray... I am not going to say it again... dont dirty this board with your personal issues with each other... or I will suspend both of you....

I am getting tired of this crap. Lets talk about the issues and see if we can either help one another or get some attention form Yamaha to help us thru the gr wing pains... but please if this is what the site is coming to I will just start pulling the trigger on problem members and it may have to start here...this time there will be no more chances..
