I was riding Friday night 50 miles from home when I started to smell Anti-Freeze and my yellow warning light was coming on
I found that the two small mounting tabs that hold the Auxillary Radiator on were broken. The radiator then slid forward and hit the brake assy. This punched a hole through the radiator.
I do have 4000 miles on my 2006 RTX so....crap happens. But, If I were you guys, I would check it out to make sure yours isn't in the same boat.
I am going to order another radiator and when I mount it, I am going to tie wrap it to the frame or something so this won't happen again.
I was able to by-pass it with a small piece of PVC tubing thanks to the local bar-owner. Made it home with no problems after by-passing it.
Has this happened to anyone else?
