Started to go through the sled these might be some probs

If there were no problems with any Yamaha we all would not be here. So far it's minor issues. We all here encourage posting any issues especially with pics. Now we have to fix them. We will

On my nytro the oil lines went though the bulkhead and never had any problems plus there was wiring that was rubbing on engine and the frame....I look over every sled I get , yes yamaha's too because there not as perfect as every one thinks
I been all over this sled today every nut and bolt and I must say it's looking pretty good , I ordered the rest of the track clips because I like a fully clipped track ,,,,,I'm loving this sled so far .....

That's good news! I hope you don't. I also hope when I get mine home I don't have anything to fix!

So I got the hood off and checked around. Everything was tight no loose bolts or nuts. I took off two connectors and the only thing I had to do was goop them up with electrical grease, they didn't have any on them.

Sorry guys, but your new vipers are just a piece of poop arctic cat at the end of the day. Take your dork boy Yamaha coats off and replace with hill billy cat coats and you will fit in just fine. I smartened up and bought a doo 1200 a few years ago and realized what a real 4 stroke should ride like. That new viper is low quality sled with a 8 yr old motor. Show me some new technology. Good luck on your warranty claims also...

rx1ryda989 and Viper2004er please refrain from bashing on this site. If I see you do it again you will be removed. You will only get one warning.

I have no wire by my coolant hose like in your photo , I got my side panels off and rubbed my hand up inside and can't feel one , so maybe the routing of the wire is wrong

What wire? My coolant hose is pushed on the frame.

Apex, thank you for the pics. As with any sled, the owner/rider should always inspect things before riding. I go thru mine every year and can honestly say I have had only a couple issues trail riding my sleds and we have always made it to our destination.
Tom, as always....good catch on the bashing

Well at least the small issues are easily corrected and at the end of the day you've got a sled and will ride and handle 100 times better than a Nytro. I suppose you could pick your poison, stick with a Nytro and spend a small fortune in aftermarket parts just to try and get it to handle similar to any other bump sled off the showroom floor or just work through a few minor issues with the Viper.

I'm going to be watching how the Vipers do in the USXC races. Sounds more and more like there may be a couple good and fast teams running Cat ZR7000's in the Iron Dog this year.

Thanks Apex great info and I will certainly be going over mine very closely.
