Saw this while YT surfing and thought it's a good design that would be difficult to defeat. Just watch for the quality of the puck locks as some (like Masterlock) are junk.

Great Idea ,, He has nice cutting and welding tables.. You could make it out of stainless if you wanted to make it really difficult to cut it off. I never heard of a puck lock before ..
I always put a padlock in my ball latch in the closed "locked on " Position that's better than nothing ..
First in the Video they show several bands of ball locks that are easy to defeat.. then they show their hardened steel model that uses 1 puck lock
If you want to use on different trailers with different sized balls you need a stud permanently installed but you need to be able to screw different sized balls on and off when it is open ..
