Have seen 132+mph several times on dream- o- meter with more to go.....usually on a plowed road or ice track. U get them on the right conditions and these things fly. Add the slightest bit of snow to the equation, even a firmly packed trail, and you will not see the big numbers. Like most sleds, but the attak/apex in particular,.....conditions are everything!!!!

I never picked my track,I wonder if it would matter on the top end? I think im going to put the 23 tooth in it,it seems it spins the track a lot,and not putting into the ground.
i'm leary of picking it,I like the #*$&@ loose going through tight trails,as it's easy to slide it though the turns.

that is the trade off I like my prestudded for that reason still a little loose in the corners but just enough extra bite when you want/need it

Sent you a PM if interested.....Looking to move to an Apex.........Do alot of very fast trail riding and river running. What I am looking for is honest top end speeds on ice and hard pack.
Thanks !!!

The best my 06 ran was 124 with me on it, and 127 with my wife on a spring day, glare ice in a 3000 ft run. It's run 120+ many times in a measure 2000 ft, my 11 128 apex ran a best of 121 - i think the older ones are faster on top, the newer ones are a little quick to 100. Both sleds have air box mod, 1 inch track and clutching. Below is a video of a 119 run, I ran 120 right after this but it didn't get filmed

You are correct about the 06-10 vs the 11-present apex models. My 06gt, and my buddies 07 attack seem to have a bit more top end. The newer model I have has more low end and mid pull it feels.
Keep in mind if you are really a top end guy you could have ulmer machine you clutch, and play with gearing to gain more top end. Just an option of that is your thing.... me I prefer to lower my gearing then machine my clutch. Gives me the best of both worlds

2013 apex xtx with woodys power up kit clutch work and mbrp pipe
My 2013 xtx has hit 112.3 MPH on the GPS at the local air strip they drag in the winter. Only other sled that was close was a turbo cat at 112.6 so I was happy with it.
