My 06 ran out of gear at 186 km/h gps my 11 said 193 on speedo and it was not bouncing off the gear. I'm confident I may be able to hit 200km/h speedo which is 120+ mph

2011 Apex XTX 110 gps on a hardpack trail. This with a fat guy on its back. Humungous windshield that I can't tuck behind and hide my frame. Skinny short guy would go much faster.

I'm certain my new 2014 Apex XTX won't outrun my 2007 Apex top end but I wouldn't go back to the older Apex if you paid me to......lol......to many improvements to go back in technology.

I have a o7' rtx,and the highest i got on the speedo was 117.The o7' rtx are the lowest geared stock apex trail sleds(mountian sleds are as low if not lower),and have the most torque.I had a 06' apex er,it had more top end, had it up to 125 on speedo. (was still climbing, but ran out of real estate)was better on gas (19 mpg,rtx is about 13 mpg)but wasn't as quick or had the torque of the rtx.I think i'm either going to put in the 23 tooth drive gear for next year,(ours is 22)and maybe play with the clutches.ok,just bought an 07 apex rtx this year and the most I saw on the speedo was 105 on the speedo, should I be seeing more?

make sure the track has the right amount of tension on it,mine slows down if the track is to loose,it slaps off the tunnel.also, make sure the belt is a little higher than the secondary clutch, once my belt wears down to where it's even or a little below the secondary,it effects the top end speeds, and engages at higher rpms.ok,just bought an 07 apex rtx this year and the most I saw on the speedo was 105 on the speedo, should I be seeing more?
just fyi,new hyfax wears down real fast, but it stops right above the wear line, and doesn't wear anymore for a long time.don't change it until it gets below that mark.

I had that same 07 rtx w/ck skid and unstudded with 450 miles on ticker I ran it down the caribou rr bed at 112 gps cant remember just what the speedo was at,but many times I saw 127 on hard pack.I have a o7' rtx,and the highest i got on the speedo was 117.The o7' rtx are the lowest geared stock apex trail sleds(mountian sleds are as low if not lower),and have the most torque.I had a 06' apex er,it had more top end, had it up to 125 on speedo.
