Recently picked up a new to me Apex GT and am going through it end to end for a summer project, and because I don't want to work on it during the riding season. My question is.... how did the previous owner turn?
Does anyone know off the top of their head if plastic skis on the 06-10 Apex is stock ? I was surprised to find these on my new ride, kind of beat up and may replace one or both.
I think a new set of Woody's Dooly Carbides are in order.

2007 did NOT come with those skis. Dual runner Tuners were much later. Do yourself a favor and remove these and run whatever single runner ski you can afford. Shimmed with a proper carbide you will have no darting and good turning capability. Quite a few, including my buddy Maim^^^, run Yamaha Mountain skis. Deep keel, extra width for flotation, and relatively inexpensive .

Those are the stock factory skis for 07 Apex, I dont see any Tuners in those pictures, Woody doolies are a good replacement carbide, Tuner skis with 4" and 6" carbides are the best combination I have come up with on the older Apex's. 17,700 miles on my last set of Tuners.

keep the skis and put snowtrackers on them it will feel like power steering and I always called it point and click it just goes where ever you point the skis when you click the fun flipper.

yes those are the stock skis. they are well used. as to the turning, not well would be my answer as even mtx skis will not turn well with that bad a carbide.
i have a set of doolys on an older sled and i am removing them this year as they steer well on trail most times but last season they fought me all season in all conditions. going with my tried and true carbide, 6" carbide stud boy square bars as i am not studded.
as viper dave said, i run apex mtx skis on every sled i can get them on and all 3 siblings do as well. they work great for us. stock does not work in my local conditions as i usually leave them on until i trash the carbides until my new sled (16 apex xtx) witch i took them off after 2 rides. i have tried curve skis and they do work great off trail and on trail when the trail is set up decently. when it gets soft on the top, they push as bad as the stock skis and i am set up for good ski pressure. right now using the curves on my 09 phazer rtx/x conversion.

How & where do you ride?
The dually's will work fine until you ride aggressive especially high speed cornering.
Then SnoTrackers will be better & will outlive you

already wear glasses too but the way it was laying, it looked like a dual keel ski to me until i zoomed in on them. 3 out of the 5 sleds i own are blue and the one there was no colour choice on it at all.

I fell for it too, they were so evenly worn from ski to ski, they looked like a single tuner ski! HA.
Good luck, and yes, whatever you put on, shim them.
