If we come Ill bring a stalker gun...that gun you guys are using is really crummy,Ive seen that gun before and in some cases it was 7mph higher then the HI END stalker we use....which is tested to be within .50mph....
Im not saying your is OFF,but with those kind of speed its showing,I would say 99% sure its not correct...unless those srxs are 800s and built to the tits....
Ive been up to liskeard many times..awesome area...so possibly in the next 2-3 weeks when I get to Huntsville abunch of us will get up there with 2 very accurately calibrated guns...Keep this FORUM posted on what days and times you are out there, and exactly how we get there from hwy11.
thanks
Dan

no snow at all here, cant ride anywhere so we go to that lake to fish and the guys do radar.about the radar gun,i passed with an rx1 and the speedo showed 135 mph and the gun was 118 so it shows that the gun is accurate cuz we all know about the dreammeter.with the srx its hard to look at the speedo at those speeds to compare with the radar, not sure if they are going back next weekend, will find out.the lake is about 45 minutes north of new liskeard

I am familiar with the area....we travel through there often. I don't assume that lake is directly off HWY 11....is it?

Hey Dan:
That gun is a Bushnell speedster. We have owned one for about 5 years now. We check it with the Stalker that they use on the NBSR North Bay speed runs. (We stand right beside the eyes and compare)
The speedster gun is consistantly 1.5 MPH slower than the Stalker. For instance.....if you ran 108 on the speedster, it would be 109.5 on the Stalker.
The Velocity is ok, but it does read high sparatically and it does not pick you up until you are really close.

so that means we should be running slightly faster,id say we pick up the speed at around 75 feet.that lake is in the back roads, would be nice if it was off the highway but at least were far from houses and nobody complains about noise,by the way,we radared a new dragon 700 in the grass this morning before heading out to the lake and saw 107 mph, wasnt too impressed for its first run but will get better

i can vouch for these guys i know them personally and they run with more than one gun. i have a bushnell and a stalker and i went down last year with the guns and there guns were accurate. we were running 118 last year on snow with 1 1/4 ripsaw tracks. Pat ask Victor and Andy if they know any 03 mach z's that run good. i used to have two srx's that i have tuned with these guys they know there stuff. these guys are running 3/4 inch tracks with minimum studs at a distance of close to 3/4 of a mile.

Pat tell Andy to get a tinted visor so we don't have to see his smile through the helmet

My friends have one, and in North Bay next to the Stalker it traded mph back and forth...either one was +/- 1mph, even at 150+ mph runs!!!! Infact I recall a 166 mph run that was higher on the Stalker!!!!
