how many miles on your yamaha?

2006 Attak - now over 20,000. Original clutch, track (re-clipped), & engine untouched. New Stator was the only biggie other than regular maintenance items (bushings & bearings).

Hey just wondered if you used Yamaha stator or aftermarket, Larry

I have 2009 Fx Nytro, 8050 miles on it. I've owned for 3 seasons - starting my 4th (had 3850 on it at purchase). Fairly standard wear items, 1 set of exhaust donuts (went with the new Yamaha ones, last season), just replaced the idlers with the 2010 Yamaha ones, added Yamaha marginal wheel kit to the front area of the rails (last season). Lower balljoints (this season), installed the ulmer spindle bushings (2 seasons ago), ski pivot bushings (2 seasons ago), starting on my 3rd new belt (other 2 are still good), high (last season) and mid-height windshields, added the powermadd large handguard covers (last season), added a windshield - tank bag - and saddle bags (2 years ago), and sprayfoamed the inside of the handlebars which makes the handwarmers perform pretty well (did that step a week after I got it). Adding a powermadd 1" riser next week. Also this fall I bought a spare driveshaft bearing, and used a grease needle to put some into the existing bearing. And, I've cut the 3rd window out on the ripsaw - which got rid also of the heavily worn slp buttons I installed year 1. I've been changing the oil each spring with either Mystik snowmobile 0w40 or Mobil 1 0w40 - and I'm using HiFlo HF147 filters at change. Synthetic 75w90 gear oil in the chaincase changed each spring as well. From what I've read - pretty normal maintenance - and I've done all of it myself. Wasn't a member on this site, but gained a lot of knowledge here. Been less parts to update or install on my 1971 Skidoo Olympic 335! And, my 2004 Skidoo GSX 500ss has 8500 miles on it, and that one has been good - carb boots, 1 set of hyfax, 2 sets of runners, but more gas and oil than the Nytro. I get 15-19mpg consistently on the Nytro.

Sounds like me,bought mine in Sept pulled skid, replaced every bearing-&6 new red 130mm wheels (2mm larger than o.e.m.)both drive shaft bearings, amsoil 0/40, filter, chain case oil amsoil,plugs,2" pivot risor, handlebar hooks with new heaters.and 8" grips, seat was already built up 4". Also new slim jim dually carbides 6". I thought I might have had a charging problem and finally started testing it (bad).
Hopefully em stator work good and I have a trouble free season.

Nick Keller, main rider in the Snowball Cancer charity ride, just turned 80,000 (yes I said 80,000) miles on his 2010 Vector.
damn, I don't have that many miles on my Yukon, you are a bad man.
let's see someone beat that!

6100 miles on my 2011 apex xtx plan on going till 50,000 miles because all these new sleds coming out wont make it that far!!!!!!!!! I will be old enough to hang it up by then.

Nick Keller now has 90,000+ miles on his Vector. We are meeting up with him next week Thursday for the Snowball Cancer Challenge ride which is a 500 mile in one day charity ride for cancer.
