I am putting on a Holtzman kit on this year. Looking forward to it but at the same time a little nervous.
I would like to hear the good and bad or your kits. Any body hurt a motor? How many are running a exhaust guage?
How much faster than a good running stocker are they?
How much slower is your sled off the gas becasue of the heavier clutching for gas?
Thanks for the info.

Hi Bruce,
I run CBperformance kit and I love it. It hits like a freight train and shoots a plum of black smoke on the button and your off!
Never hurt the engine and it has around 30 lbs of nitrous through it.
On the 80 hp shot (which is around a 100-120 shot on the holtzman) I ran a best of 156 mph on the dream o meter. It is a absolute rocket.
Off the bottle I ran 9500 rpms on that 80 shot and it was a little sluggish, not bad still faster then a 800 but you could tell it had more in it. So last year I went to a different spring and its running about 10000 rpm now and much faster, I hit 110 mph in a long run off the nitrous which is what I wanted. I never got a chance to use the nitrous last year (because once you have it no one wants to race...)
I run a fuel pressure guage and nitrous pressure gauge. As long as she has fuel (supplied from the nx fuel pump) I know it wont hurt the engine.
Have fun, its a blast once you start spraying!

I run nitrous on my small block Ford and it's a major kick in the pants. If you set up the system correctly you won't hurt the motor. My automotive system uses an wide-open-throttle switch to turn the nitrous on. A pretty big safety factor I think. You don't want to 'hit' the juice at any other time than wide open throttle. Fuel supply is critical. Rich is good, if you go lean, you go boom. Good luck!
no problems went through about 15 lbs last year. hits hard and feels good. only problem is the botltle goes fast but it is worth it.

What are you paying to fill the bottles? 5lb bottle I assume is all that will fit.
