I have 168 in my RTX and 192 in the LTX.. did you make sure you didnt put them in the dead centre of your track? the middle 1".. know to kiss the top of the shock. make sure all the studs are at the same torque value... some heads may be up a bit higher and in line with wheels.. can cause vibrations. also be carefull if they are inline with slides... again.. this can cause vibrations... put sled up on stand and go over it thoroughly...
I've studded more tracks than i would like to admit.. to date, have not had any major issues.
Did you make sure you have all the same studs? if you use different studs this will through balance way off. as well as backers... Just think of your car, if you put 5 grams of weight on out of balance, you will feel it... now take a track... spin it at 100mph if something is out of balance.. garanteed you will find it. make stud patterns even... spacing correct all that stuff.

I have all the same studs, when I installed the extra ones I retorqued all the studs, backers are the same, and spacing is even and not near the center 1 inch. only thing that is different is I have 48 with the aluminum big nuts that woodys offers and the rest are the standard nuts. (dealer was out of the standard ones)

well you could have answered your own question... Studding is basic... spacing/numbers/paterns... do you have all the aluminum nuts in the same area, or spread out? How bad is the vibration? sorry for all the questions, this one has my curiousity.... just like helpin others out.

they are all in the same area, mixed in with the origional pattern. the origional pattern was 2 doubles(4 studs) skip a lug then 2 doubles skip a lug. and so on starting close together then getting wider. repeating every 5 lugs. so lugs 1-3-5 were studded. I added the extras into 2 and 4. then there is an empty lug then the pattern repeats. hope thats not to confusing. the origional 96 are the small nuts then 48 of what I added are the aluminum big nuts and the rest of what I added are just like the origionals. the vibration gets worse with more speed. its not pleasent

Dan, you run 96, 1.175 right? does it hook up fine no slip, i got 144, 1.325 and it just spins, i should have gone with 1.450 and less than 144

Woodys has always had a good formula and that is no less than 1 stud per HP, Not enough and your over stressing the stud bending or tearing
thru the track , too many and you do not penetrate , plus you have ton of rotating weight [slower top end].

I have question too.. I marked my LTX out for 168 of the 1.45's down the centre only. About not installing dead center and hitting the shock, is it ok just to move off the mark a bit to avoid centre or should I really worry about it. When torqued there sunk into track anyways as that is what I did with our 08. ?????

Just waiting to drill out that centre hole until someone suggests if I can just move off that mark one way a bit or do I need a different pattern??
My sled was done when I bought it. When I studded my viper I was told NOT to have studs in the center of the track. The Woody template did not have studs in the center. I would not hit the middle.
108 is not enough......
