I have just been on a 114 mile ride with some friends a real quick affair you know the scene, but i am so pissed and fed up with so many short comings of this sled. Fed up with freezing hands, ice build up inside and on the running boards , wet left foot plus riding quick on groomed trails overheating issues then to top it off slid through a corner to go off into deep snow did not hit anything and the a arm is bent (or whatever holds it lol) Its just getting a drag with friends taking the mick etc. I just want a normal reliable sled dont know what to do. :o|

The slides are quick to heat up and slow you down too. I was running a railroad grade with a 600 doo and at first I could see 100. But then it would only get to 94mph while the doo still could doo 100+

I love this sled, so I would like to hear the fixes.

I guess it is hit or miss on the handgrips and ice build up and all the other stuff guys are complaining about. I don't have any of those. I have 600 miles and have ridden in all conditions.

So you got the only fx nytro with working warmers and the tunnel builds up with no ice? Where did u buy that sled, i may get rid of mine and get one there.

I rode 110 miles sat. mostly powder, some groomed trails. Parked it in the garage and I could see the tunnel protectors and the exhaust. Minimal snow build up. I don't use the hand warmers so that isn't a problem for me. Me and my buddy did change sleds for few miles and when I got back on mine, I had to shut them off because they were so hot in my hands.

Hey 636.8 miles bent subframe A-arms etc. 2 belts all MY FAULT. Other wise ice under tunnel yea but hittin the moguls usually knocks it all off COLD HANDS NO get good insulated Gloves and My hands are on fire. Sliders NOT yet Love my RTX now that I have good Carbides and Can turn wouldnt trade it for any sled in the world No Complaints. You Dont Like Yours sell it the complainin is gettin rediculous be happy you get to ride.

Similar problems here. Bent 09 subframe, Handwarmers need about three more levels, and my biggest problem ICING. It fills up the whole underside on my new rails and heat exchager. It also comes around the back, leaks down the seat all over the running boards. The running boarbs then fill up with ice. WHich makes you feet slip while riding, and get cold. Anybody make up any type of shield, or deflectors to help with this icing problem?

Its not the case of just complaining i sold an 07 ski doo to go yamaha and i never had a thing go wrong with the doo in over a 1000 miles, so i hope you get my point $10000 + for my yamaha which has a great engine and handles well now after many many hrs of setting up, new front end and with all the other things just makes me mad thats all. I expect some first year model blues but this takes the biscuit :die

The obvious is sometimes hard to see.

1) Take a little dead blow hammer and tap the tunnel to release the ice. My hammer is 1# and under 12" long. Works like a charm. My SkiDoo buddies use the same trick. Always have.

2) Wet feet? Wear waterproof boots. That's why they make 'em.

3) Cold hands? Get the wind off the bars.

4) Bent an arm because you missed a corner? Stop missing corners. Kinda like me bitching about breaking a windshield. My problem is avoided by not rolling the sled!

Simple solution for the bent sub frame would be to stop hitting stuff. Over 4000 miles and mine is still going strong and straight and trust me I try to break this sled. I need a good reason to buy a 2010. x2 with the rubber mallot or dead blow hammer

If you want any help on making your sled perform better please ask questions, a lot of people have the FX Nytro's figured out.

I can understand your frustration running off trail but that wasn't the sleds fault I assume.

Where do you guys strap the sledge hammer?pretty silly IMO.also we have had 3 subframe issues in our group(2last year)and they all occured on trail riding the same trails as the other sleds in the group.
