Doing the first oil change and I've got 3.6L in there so far and the dipstick still says it needs more. Manual says 2.8L. Just a little confused here...any help is much appreciated!

pretty sure around 3 ,5 to4 liters with filter change! Look at your manual again I think it's 2,8 in the tank then start for 1 min then add more to tank to reach proper level!Doing the first oil change and I've got 3.6L in there so far and the dipstick still says it needs more. Ya that would make sense. That was the first thing I noticed. Filter was a bugger to get off as well. Thanks Marc!

Just did mine and it took just over 3 quarts. And yes the filter is a pain in the arse to get off. I also love the soft screws that seem to strip the heads when any amount of torque is put on them.

Well I just let it idle until rad fan came on then checked oil level 30 secs after. It's almost at the top line. I've got 3.6L in it. I may take a 100ml out to get it into the middle of the stick.

I've done mine twice and both times took bout 3L right on the nose. I've asked around and said its normal. Was concerned but have 2500 miles on now with no issues.

the dip stick style oil tanks hold 1/2 litre more than the sight glass

Make sure the o ring does not stay on the block. Very common.
I used 4 l of oil. Right at the full mark.

You guys are draining the engine right? There is about a half quart in the engine that needs to be drained as well.

Yup, drained engine. Removed filter and the black O ring that was stuck to the block. Then drained tank. Makes a mess too...I'm just below full mark at 3.6L. Warmed engine up until rad fan came on, then shut sled off and waited 30seconds to check oil level. Checked 3 times really quick...just below full mark.
