Yep and that brings up a interesting thought! Why are the riders of Heavy overweight four stroke sleds for the most part older? I know for a fact I went four stroke because I was tired of two strokes going boom at the wrong times. Middle of a trip is no time for a motor to pop! I was tired of worrying about the mileage of my sled and having to trade it off for fear of the motor going south!

I wanted something that would stay together for 20,000 miles and last till I got tired of it! In fact my age said buy something that will last so I can get my moneys worth out of it! Now trade off is having to replace things that I never replaced on a two stroke. Mainly because never got a chance to wear items out, like tracks, driveshafts, ski's, ect. Thing is with a bit of P.M. I can keep it running forever and I don't have to worry about the engine. I never had good luck with two strokes!

I just turned 40 a week ago. Been sledding since I was 10 years old. Started with a JD Trailfire 340, than onto a JD Liquifire 440, than to an '86 340 Enticer, '89 340 Ovation, '92 Phazer, '96 Vmax 600 which I currently still own, 2001 SRX, 2010 Vector GT, now my Apex! Have absolutely had the best times of my life on sleds and will continue to do so until its time to go to my grave! Than I'll do the same in hell if it freezes or not! :jump:

Charlie / Sasquatch I agree completely and my last, best and favorite 2 stroke with 14,000 miles is being traded in on this latest yamaha 4 stroke. 1998 XTC DX 700 red top triple

Couldn't get many interested in a 16 year old sled with 14k miles...what's up with that.
Lol
