Ok. A few posts about which relay is the fuel pump and what wires do what. This is what I found tonight on my fuel pump relay that is working just fine.
To locate relays in left foot well.
Remove left side cover
As you can see the relays are behind this cover. Remove these two screws to make access easier.
I have replaced three of the relays with the updated Red relay.
Located the fuel pump relay. It has four wires. Blue with a red trace, Red with a white trace, Red with a green trace and Red with a blue trace.
Blue/red= ECU controlled ground. The ECU will provide ground when needed..
Red/blue= Constant 12v.
Red/white= 12v with Ign on
Red/green= 12v to the fuel pump when the relay is activated by the ECU.
You can use a test light or a DVM. If using a test light use an LED test light.
A good working system will have always have 12v on the red/blue and 12v on the red\white when the Ign is turned on . The only time when the red\green has power is when the Ign is on, the red\blue has 12v and the ECU grounds the blue\red.
For a trail side repair if you suspect your relay is toast you can jump the red/white and red/green together.
This is what the relay does electronically. Leave the blue/red alone unless you want to release the magic smoke from the ECU

Thank's for that information, it will be very helpful. I have a question for you. Since there are 2 different Red/Green wires which 1 of those do you jump with the Red/White wires .
Thank's in advance

The red relays are solid state; the black ones are mechanical relays. Red have no moving parts and are more reliable and can be used for all except lights I believe. Black relays are mechanical and can be affected by moisture / freezing.

Not sure on the 2006 to 2010 as I see the order is different from my 2013. The 2013 fuel system relay is the outside one, next to it is the black with white letters that runs the light system and is 5 prong this one cannot be changed to red. Next to that is called the main relay and has lots of jobs coils etc. the last one or inside one is for heaters- carbs, handle bars and back up beeper. The most important one is the fuel (outside one) as it comes on with the key the others don't come on till the engine is started, so they get full power. I changed all 3 - 4 prong ones to red this year and just got back from a 3 day ride in northern MN last night at the hotel went to -37 C we wisely waited till 11 am when it was -30 and Apex fired right up, I did 2 fuel charges then a very slight crack on the throttle and held the starter till it was running at about 2200. very happy as 2 new skidoos had a hard time starting.
Sorry made an oops in the write up. Jump the red/white and the red/green to power up the pump without the relayThank's for that information, it will be very helpful. I have a question for you. Since there are 2 different Red/Green wires which 1 of those do you jump with the Red/White wires .

There is only 1 red/green wire , the red/blue has a green band going around it but is not a colour indicator. Steiner, no oops in your write up.

You are correct. My mistake on the 2 Red/Green wires. I need to read better or put on my glasses.

Its not you. I read my post and edited my mistake. You are correct I did have two red/green wires in the text.
Looked at the pic again. I see the green blob on the red/blue wire. Bad pick of that wire as it is hard to see the blue stripe. If I remember I will take a better pic of this after our TY Ride out here.
