I know Dave changed the weights but not sure on the ratio. Can only I assume it’s what he sells standard with his kits. I’m pretty sure it’s a stock helix. I’m pretty new to wrenching on the newer sleds(4 stroke) but am trying really hard to learn what I can.(Utube is great). How much weight are you running in primary?
What helix are you using?
Still have not tested orange spring.

Thanks! My purple spring is basically half the preload now than on 0-1! It should help initial shift at low speed. I'll report on Thursday. Heading to sudbury early Thursday morning for a few days.Have not tried always went 0-1.
Andy I will ship spring tomorrow

Finally got to try the TP orange sec. spring out last night I wound it at 60 deg. running Yamaha 8jp belt. This spring is way stronger than the stock spring but not as strong as the green hurricane spring ,which is a good thing because now you can wind the spring and change the belt by yourself. More good news only lost a few rpms up top was running 8800 before and now its 8650 back shifting stayed about the same. I was hitting the rev limiter hard from a dig and slow rolls, still hits the limiter now but very little. Seems like its up shifting faster now I'm going to wind it at 70 deg. and try it thinking that's gonna be the ticket. I raced my buddies new 850 he's got 800 miles on it so it is all broke in, we raced 3 times from a dead stop(I did not think that would work out so go for me cause those things come out hard from a dead stop)all 3 times I had him start to finish we were racing about a 1/4 mile maybe a little more but the farther we went the more I pulled away. I did not check the clutch temps but I really never had a problem with that. I do believe that anyone running the softer gates belt will have to do some miner changes to get your rpm,s back up. All and all I think this spring change worked for me we will know more when some other people try it.

I ran the purple spring at 6-3 but just to the first ramp at about 30deg for the last two days for about 600km. It's been awesome, pulls 8700 when I pin it and pulls way harder also lost some engine braking. Lined up on the lake with my buddy new sidewinder and from a 10mph rolling start on ice we where dead even to about 130km until we let off. Much better, he used to leave me pretty good.

I just did a test with a fish scale and a used jackshaft the same setting 6-3 with purple spring not sure of the degrees but the helix just needs to be turned clockwise a bit and pushed down. To open secondary only takes 6 pounds. Just wondering if maybe it might have been in the 9-3 for 120*.
Have you tried the TP Orange ? There is a thread on sidewinders site with the lbs and degrees.
Tested each wrap 3 times so they are pretty close.
60 degrees- 22lbs
50 degrees- 18lbs
40 degrees- 14lbs

Maybe I had my #s messed up a bit with the purple spring. I had it about 30deg twist. IIjust put the orange in it today at 3-3 setting which feels close to what the purple was just at. The purple has alot more compression I think as a its alot longerHellflyer
