Do you have a boost gauge! You might be over boosting which would cause the clutch not to keep up.

hellflyer I'm running hurricane kit in my turbo viper also and I have the same problem its hard on the rev limiter from dead stop and even at 40 mph rolling start. My weights also came with all the weight on the heel and center, nothing on the tip I'm going to start moving this weight around and see if this helps. The secondary on the other hand not so sure about that, it has the green spring and almost impossible to get it together by your self. I blew a belt this weekend at 100 plus mph what a mess. I had to remove the secondary from machine and take it apart to get all the cords out of it, if I would have been by myself id still be sitting there. I ordered the orange spring from thunder products, I will try that and see what happens it just seems to me that this green sec spring is leaving a little top end on the table, I no you cant have everything but need to find a happy medium. I am buy no means knocking hurricane about this kit works very well but I think it can be improved, every sled is different. I'm gonna start messing with it this weekend. I will report back with the results.

Hope it works out and can't wait to hear results! If it's on the limiter on start it needs more weight in the heel, the tip is more for top end.hellflyer I'm running hurricane kit in my turbo viper also and I have the same problem its hard on the rev limiter from dead stop and even at 40 mph rolling start. hellflyer you are correct iv tried adding more weight to the heel where I can get it off the limiter but than it becomes real lazy down low. I have 1 tungsten and 4 washers in the heel right now and 2 washers in the middle and nothing in the tip.

I think the slow shift on the bottom end could be the secondary tension . My purple is almost a two man job, well it is for most. I've been looking at the orange spring from TP

I just took my secondary apart! With the purple spring at 0-1 it's a bear to get together, close to 60deg twist. I'm going to try 6-3 at about 30deg twist initial and see how that works! Anyone try that?

Great thread here . I also am running the hurricane 190 kit. Got the clutch and gears done with Dave when I got the Turbo installed. I’m also smashing the Rev limiter anytime I go WOT at any speed. Have the purple spring on the secondary . Will the orange spring that I’m reading about help this out?
