I have an Attak with 900 miles on a fresh pair of hyfax. They have worn to slightly under 13 mm at the bend, this area being the thinest. I have a 400 mile weekend coming up and am debating replacement. I know the hyfax wear fast and stop at a certain point. People claim the Yami to have poor hyfax wear but i'm thinking their just replaced prematurly.
My question is: At what point have guys and gals been seeing the hyfax wear taper off? Anybody ever measure this with a micrometer?

Hyfax wear always has to do with the conditions you ride in.

About where you are. 12 -13 mm or so.
If you are going to ride on snow for your trip, you are fine.

Side a 10 mm down the side of them, if it bigger than that your fine. Always remember to get into the fluff once in a while, it really cools them down.

Yup, I think your fine. I was able to slip a 13mm wrench over mine and I rode another 600 miles and I could just slip a 10mm over them in a couple spots so I changed them and there was still a good 1-2mm of plastic even in the thinnest spots...
My sleds only wore in the middle with no wheels. I ordered the marginal rail wheel kit for that area to address the problem. I always run the sled in the fluff whenever possible.
