I ordered mine months ago when they all said they would be available before winter. My reasons were track record, complete kit, fuel system, no underhood heat,no extra weight in the nose, no melting, good hp on pump, able to run hood, stock appearance, previous good experience. I'm sure there will be lots more good choices soon, I didn't want to spend all winter waiting and/or dealing with tweaks, my season is too short already. BTW, it rips.

slymax, how fast does it spool up? And is there ever a time when it affects your riding or when you wish it spooled quicker? Or the lag problem overrated?

It spools up pretty quick, we are talking less than a second, lag is something that is more of an issue on the internet than when riding, IMO, yes it is overrated. It affects my riding by making me ride up stuff I shouldn't, LOL. I suppose quicker is always better but it really isn't that big of a deal. I have ridden front mounts as well but decided to get another rear mount, because the pro's outweighed the con's for me. They are all a blast, just pick the one YOU like and ride it, winter is short.

I'm leaning heavily toward a alpine/powderlites turbo. What is your guys take on this kit? And can stock injectors handle 14-15lbs?
Anyone ordered an alpine turbo yet?

They build a great product, BUT the Apex being heavy on fuel and the Alpine having a smaller tank is an issue in my mind. Just my own opinion, but i like to ride hard all day and my stock Apex is bad enough on fuel, add boost and a smaller tank and my days will be cut in half.

How bad is the apex on fuel? I thought part of the arguement was how good they are on fuel? Doesn't the alpine turbo lose about 1 gal?

If you guys think the turbos are bad on fuel, what are the SC's gonna be like? Superchargers boost is belt driven, and we are always working them, it's not like cruising on the highway. My turbo'd triple was pretty decent on fuel but I must admit I haven't been able to find enough snow yet to drive the Apex hard all day. 38litre fuel tank is all they have stock.

I got to tell you guys , now that I got mine clutched right I'm pleasantly surprised at the lack of turbo lag .

Good to hear, I figured the EFI would help in that department

Thats a very valid point.
After trying to research the chit outta the main 4 kits (MC,alpine, mpi and boondocker) the one main conclusion ive come up with is they all have pros and cons. Guess you gotta decide on what your willing to live with.
Rear mount- Lag
Front mount adds weight to the already heavy enough front end of the sled and heat can be a concern as well.
SC- not proven like the turbos, but instant throttle resp and virtually no heat issue under the hood.
Coin toss ? lol
