If Yamaha ceased production of sleds...What would you buy?

If you make it a porn site, please keep the name the same so the miss's wont catch on. Nothing saying it can't serve both platforms  . Heck, you can't mean to tell me these guys don't spend the other half of their day on porn sites anyway :tg: . And best yet, then we could have REALLY cool avitars!

With all the parts one can buy now a days I would like to try building one from scratch. Put a used rebuilt 4 stroke engine in it.

it would have to be a fusion 600 HO for me
i hate ski-doo...period (also see to many of them back at the dealer after 1000 miles) and artic cat is to un-reilable
would not have the 700 poo (really a 750, not very fare), heard nothing but bad things so far, the FS and FST from poo just suck and the 900 is crap also

That new Cat thing, Crossfire I think. 700 engine.

Too old and set in my ways for a REV position all day long.

Very bad experience with Polaris Industries, so they are out.

That leaves Cat. Many are not to reliable but the local dealers for Cat are great. They would keep me on the trail one way or another. :^)

If Doo still made the 800 SDI Legend , it would be that.

Polaris for sure. Too many problems with Doo, and Cat. Of course I have had my share of problems with my 2005 RX-1. 20 years with Polaris (1982-2002) and never back to the dealers for any problems. I usually put on 4,000 miles per year.

They changed rings, pistons and pots on the 600 HOs for 05 and seemed to have solved the ring flaking problem. I put 3069 Miles on mine this year and it ran great! I love the sled
Doo still had problems with SDI engines on the '05s. Many people on HCS had problems with their '05 SDIs.

Now that Ive thought about it a bit, Id probably go with the Ski-Doo Elite.
I was out riding last winter and saw a couple out riding on an Elite. The trails were fairly bumpy, but they were cruising along at 40 mph. They looked like they were on a Sunday cruise in a Lexus even though they were cruising along at a fairly quick pace.
Also, the Elite has that V-1000 4-stroke, so at least no 2-stroke smoke and fumes.
This kind of makes me wonder, why doesnt Yamaha make something similar using the Rhino chassis and the Vector motor?

Sorry to correct you Captain,

Elite has a 4 TEC 1500 cc motor in it. Puts out 145 hp.

I don't see why Doo wouldn't put that watercraft motor in a regular chassis.

I would go with an ALPINA 4 Stroke ;)!

I would really be freakin different.

They are blue, and they are a hell of alot heavier than anything Yamaha ever dreamed of putting on the market!

At the juncture where Yamaha quit making sleds, I figure I would need to have a sled to make some money.

Novel Concept!
