Ok, so not a good option for the Panteras then...
I just bought the 2011 Apex XTX this summer so I'll need to see what track is on it.
My other 2 Apex's have traditional studs.

I would never put Igrips in that track, there is not enough lug to support them and it WILL destroy the track.
TC_027, if you have a rip saw or rip saw 2 , I would NOT Igrip that track. Sorry I should have been more clear when I was answering your questions.
you've been very helpful.
the last thing I want to do is ruin a track (or 3)…

I installed the Igrip studs in my Apex last winter, I have the 1,75 backcountry track and they have made a improvement on hard pack and icy hills and turns but are not as aggressive as traditional push through studs, helps with reversing also, I put over 1000 kms on them so far and have not lost any or have any lugs torn that I can see.

I grips are the Fall project for the 2022 sidewinder LTX with a 1.75 backcountry on it. Does anyone have any pics of pattern used for this track? Or are you just putting them on every lug post? Mr sled mentioned 4 per row, just looking for where I should put them. Stay off edge of track, not in the center ect. Thanks!

On the back country you can really only do 4 per row. There is more info and image of track on this thread.I grips are the Fall project for the 2022 sidewinder LTX with a 1.75 backcountry on it. Studding XTX LE 137
After many years away from Yamaha I purchased a 2017 SW XTX LE with the 1.75 track. I want add add some studs, mostly to make it easier to load into the trailer on icy parking lots. I see some have used the igrip studs. I see some recommend the 28mm ,some say 32. Also, I am not familiar...

Surprised I did t run across that post. Thanks again! I Read a ton last night on these studs. I just got done talking with I grip and they recommended the st24r for my application. I’m not looking for a ton of traction just trying to keep rear end planted a bit more in these marginal riding conditions of northern mi. My wife has a 850 renegade with the 1.5 ice storm and I really like how it holds the icy conditions. I’m not a speed demon or super aggressive HP guy and I only want to do this once. Do you guys think these will be enough? I’m looking for similar results that the ice storm produces. Thanks again!

It will works pretty good. I have those exact same Igrips (st24r) in my 1.75 back country on my 2018 and I feel they work really well for a tall track. Really not much choice for traction.Surprised I did t run across that post. Thanks again! I Read a ton last night on these studs.
