Here at Ulmer Racing we have been doing some clutching to see how well these sleds are tuned from the factory. From what we have found most Phazer owners will be happy right out of the box!

During testing by changing to the Super Tip adjustable weights we were able to increase the acceleration in the low end, midrange, and top end as well as a quicker backshifting characteristic. Due to the design of the secondary you are limited in what you can use in tuning parts because of availability. It looks like right now we will only offer one Phazer clutching package which will consist of a set of the Super Tip weights for $240. We will continue tesitng and racking up the miles and keep our fingers crossed that we see some snow soon!!!

how much did the base weights weigh? I didn't take a close look at them yet....any rivets installed?

57.5 grams for the stock Phazer with the rivets that are in them stock. I don't have my notes with me right at the moment and can't remember what rivets are stock.

Stock Primary Spring: Blue-Pink-Blue
Stock Rollers: 15.6mm
Weights: 57.5 grams
Secondary Spring: Brown
Cam Angle: 39*

Hopefully out field testing this weekend! They're calling for snow on Saturday again!

Well we did some more testing this weekend and it looks like Super Tips will not be in our clutching package for the Phazer.

As it stands right now we will only offer 1 kit for the Phazer and it will consist of 3 primary weights and a secondary spring that should cost around a total of $100 for the complete kit.

checkman39, it will probably be 2-3 weeks of testing yet before it will be completely ready to go. Just double checking all settings and getting baselines for different rider weights. We're also working on the MOD air box and should have a "production" unit by the beginning of next week. The gains with the clutching are quicker accelerating and better backshift. It will make it more fun to ride in the trail as well.

Hopefully final calibration will be finished by the end of next week.

Did some more testing early this morning on frozen ground frost covered. In a marked off 700 feet it was 70 mph stock and 73 mph with Ulmer Racing clutch kit.

Allen, was the machine studded? and what do you think the top end is on these, fx or gt

No studs. I would guess the fx or gt will run in the area of 80-85 mph indicated on the speedo on the snow.

Few pictures.

;)!
