Hey guys so I started to install my track everything went decent got the reverse lever to fall into place. Got everything back together then started her and nothing Wong move the track at all

Even with parking brake on it should move the track. I am guessing something is installed wrong. Maybe the lower reverse gear is put in wrong. Raise up the back and spin the track. if it spins freely with the drivers then something is put together wrong inside the chain case. both upper and lower gears are on splines so they should spin even if they are not locked down. My guess if the track spins freely with the drivers the lower reverse gear is installed wrong. but just a guess on my part.

In that case there is something put together wrong inside the case itself. You could double check and put a large open end wrench on the axle itself and try to turn it. obviously dont force anything. move it back and forth a little and liston near the chaincase. it may help you determine where it is locked up before you take it back apart again

If its a 2010 and new newer with the Pro air skid, let the air out of the shocks in the skid. If it has coil over springs you can use a ratchet strap to pull the arms into the skid. I find it is easier with the suspension arms bottomed out to the rails.

You can take the drive belt off and spin the secondary clutch once you have it back together to see it spins freely. there is really no way to test it without the cover on the chaincase because the reverse gears are held in place by the cover itself.
I can send you some photos of the porcess of taking apart and putting the chancase back together that might help you determine where you went wrong. Let me know. I collected them before i did mine. I even took pictures as i was taking mine apart to make sure it went back together right. Me and gears doing always play nice together HeHe

I did the same thing, the reverse idler gears are in backwards and are contacting both gears at the same time, thus not allowing anything to spin.

It's a PITA to change, but not very difficult.

Bholmlate please if you would not mind send me those pics
Moab11 I actually read we're you posted that you had the reverse gears backwards and that's we're I got the idea

Thank you for all the help guys I am hoping to have the sled up and running this evening if all goes well newbie problems

Do you have the tiny little spring between the to gears that make up the Reverse gear assembly. It is usually one of the small parts that you hear falling into the bottom of the cover when you pull it off.

Here is the gears laid out in order of assembly. both the top gear and bottom gear sets the objects on the right side go on first working towards the left. Notice that the ribs on the bottom gear face out on the first gear that slides on the axle. those hook the two bottom gears together.

Here is the tricky little spring between the reverse gears that usually fals out as you pull the cover off.

Here is the reverse assembly showing both gears together and where the little spring goes into the other gear. This is probably where your issue is.

Here is the lower gear assembly

Sledneck is it actually spining the track in reverse or is it frewheeling meaning it is spinning but the track is not spinning. If you have a personal e-mail address i can send you a word.doc or PDF file that shows the whole process (taking things apart and putting things back together) Not sure how to attach either one in TY forums. You may just have to start all over again.
