What is the best way to cut up your plastic panel to install the roest vent kit. They say use a small hacksaw. But I don't see how you would get a clean cut around those curves. I like everything to look clean and good. Any suggestions would be great.
I used a dremel with a 1" cut off blade. Work very nice ~ the slower the better.

Box cutter knife like a Olfa brand knife. Make several passes following a marked line.

I used a stanley knife, but I heated the blade and it cut like butter.Go slow and it does a great job.

Measure 3X and go for it! It's pretty easy, take your time and go slow- I used a box cutter and finished the edges with a die grinder. Looks great.

Lots of good replies. The biggest advantage is to go slow which ever method you use. The hacksaw blade actually works quite well, but was only a suggestion. (although thats what I use)
Peter I couldnt find a handle like you had and a rag was not good to the hand. So I grab the dremel.

Hey man, whatever works! I didn't even think about the Dremel tool I have sitting in a drawer. That's what makes these forums great......sharing the info.

Thanks for all the suggestions.
Sounds like the box knife wins. I'll give it a try this weekend.

You must be very careful not to cut too much of the back edge against the board, just cut a few times and do not cut off too much the first time.
