Does anyone have an update on the trail conditions around Ironwood, MI -amount of snow, best direction to ride in, etc. I live in Hayward, WI and am thinking of making the drive this weekend.

i just got back today,around hurley,ironwood trails are rideable but starting to show alot of wear,anywhere north was fine took a trip around gogebic yesterday alot of groomers out, wouldn't suggest anything east of marinesco or south to mercer. alot of sleds around this morning when i was leaving, gonna be a busy weekend.

looks like the east side of UP got the most fresh snow but no base undernesth as they had no snow last weekend.Thier were people golfing in st.ignace

Thanks for the responses. Maybe I will wait until next weekend to try Ironwood.
they are calling for lake effect snows all weekend,and cold air.i'm thinking about going back next weekend as well. north of ironwood the trails were just awesome!ultimatewarrior said:

gerbie - he was talking to me. I used to live in the E-UP. I spent many days on the trail with 4Fighter - mostly waiting for him to catch up!
i figured it had to be something like that, i get confused too easily!
