Someone correct me if I looked up the wrong specs but as I saw them on the internet the Thundercat 1000 is 30 pounds heavier than the RX1 the Rev is about 50 pounds lighter and the old Mach Z last year of production is about 10 pounds heavier. Why all of the complaints about weight

The RX1 or Warrior is not heavy at all when you nail the throttle  The front end gets very light 8) Heh! Heh! Heh! WOOOOHOOOO!!! :D

Hey race hate to burst your bubble but it is heavy, the official weight of a rx1 shorty,w/fluids no gas is about #580 lbs dry about 560 wet about 660 now add snow and ice and its no light weight, when you have to move it around, now in its deffence when moving it dosent feel any way as heavy, until you start to try and keep up w/a rev in bumps for extended milage runs. As far as a rev being only #30 lbs leighter, recheck the numbers most 800 revs are listed dry at #435-440 lbs thats 120 or more, the reason i am saying for sure this is i am riding w/a 04 rev 800 he is a good friend and we swap back and forth, his sled is much lighter, and it handles, hands down better, but its still a rev, enough said.

Yea its heavy.... Very heavy in fact...... I switched sleds with my friends 02 xcsp 600 and his was soo light i could flick it around corners... MINE YOU CANNOT...

But i can give him the holeshot and within 60 feet i can catch him and pass him like he has the brakes ON!!

WHOOOO HOOOOOO!!!

I know it has all been said about this but anyway.

When comparing weight just remember ( and this might be )
do both have elec start and rev.. Yamaha's rev adds weight doo's don't
The stock batt is heavy and so is the starter

I don't like everyone comparing it to a rev.. it is not a rev .They are designed for differnt reasons . I think on the track the rev shines . Our sleds compare more to the mach's and other lake runners not the snowcrossers

Look on the bright side(jk) we can't add any more weight to it in our storage places.

God the rev they can even add an extra fuel tank.
Make both sleds go the same distance and see what the others would weigh in at?

braaaaaaaaaaap

you can always tell a rx rider, by the look in his eyes. When on the trail, its a look of excitement, ego and testesterone, no one can catch me, watch me go. When they are on the mountain, balls to the wall, throttle taped, its a little different look, still excitement, but utter fear and horror about getting it stuck in the mountains, and someone seeing you. Worse yet, no one will see you and you have to kill yourself lifting it out yourself. There is no doubt, its HEAVY.

cm

unless you are Randy....... and have turbo...... and huge elephant balls!
(actually it was meant as a joke, I do like the heavy old pig (until its stuck))

Every time I ride the first question I get asked is, "How much does it way." The second quesiton is, "Do they run?" (not many out here in the mountain to look at) After I kick thier butts, no more questions!! :

If you get anything that weights more than you do stuck in the snow it really sucks to pull it out! I have a 800 rmk and when I get buried balls deep, it's just as miserable as my rx-1. I do nothing but ride in the deep stuff so I get stuck more than I like, and up to now I haven't found a sled thats easy to get out!!!!!!!

I dont get to do much powder riding although I have an MXZ 500 that I ride around the house for light weight fun. Mostly groomed trails and so far other than ski lift I love the RX. I checked out some of the weights on other sleds you guys where right

RX-1 555
Rev 454
MachZ 559
F7 460
ZR900 507
Thundercat 583

So we are up there in weight but like I said I really dont get a chance to try it in the powder or get it really stuck. Some like the Rev are built with a particular purpose in mind I think they should have thought more about the weight and configuration before they put mountain on the side of a sled. But I woldnt by a Thundercat to ride in the powder either.

mine is heavy, but you know, i unstuck a Skandic 500 in a big slope, oh my god, if we havent been 3 guy+ the driver, i cant think we has been able to put this sled uphill, he was stock near mid windshield. My bad, what have you doing :D

Get a sled unstuck ask for technic and strength, ride a Mtn sled that weight about 700 lbs ask also for technic and strenght---> it's seem i'm missing tech because i get stuck a couple time in very tight trail :D

but, because he has a but, i also pull on the rmk of my buddy, lighter, but not with the track full of snow, even harder to take out because his belt slipping.
