I bought a used QS3 Lockout Rear shock. Air. Wanted to go coil but could not find one and time to get on the Viper. I did install tunnel bag today on Venom. 2 more holes drilled in new sled! I like it. Lot of room for jacket or food. 2 holes drilled in tunnel plenty of clearance for heat exchanger.
Exchanger is full length of tunnel and at front. Should do well for cooling this little motor.

I really like the simple tube bumper and the fact whole back is clear for a Stand to go right in middle. They also went from rivets which were on the Demos to screws. Both improvements but based on the movement I am seeing and is shown in video its not going to last. I will go back to the flap which attaches to bumper and tunnel to eliminate the flex. Down the road I will get a nice rubber flap like my Phazer has.

So you are planning on using the Floats on front end off of the alphas? These will be a direct bolt on? Would rear be same? I thought they had less travel.
As the tunnel is one off , it would appear that aftermarket tube running boards would need extensive rework to fit up properly you figure? One of my pet peeves is slippery footing and snow build up.

The shocks in skid are exactly same length and travel as the Alphas. The Ski shocks are the exact same length and travel as any M or Yamaha with 38" front. Yes the Running boards are probably not going to work aftermarket but if your doing that it wouldnt be a big deal to modify them to work. The width is same as Alpha. Would just have to use the toe loop and brace at back I am thinking. Neighbor has a Alpha so will do some measuring sometime. Would be a very stout setup since the skid drop down brackets on the Venom are way shorter and reinforced. So you are planning on using the Floats on front end off of the alphas? The Guage may be basic looking but everything needed is on there and then some. Like it!

I like the size of those buttons compared to your Phazer for example.

More to add. These were advertised as off a 38” but Don’t match specs I have but was a great deal and look new. I will have to shorten them slightly. Easy job and will do refresh anyway. Sweet!
Turns out they are 40" M shocks. My Fault should have looked better. 38" is whats needed. I can fix though.

Man that is a big pipe for a little motor. I tend to see this motor like a larger 2T dirtbike motor, so why does the resonance chamber on this pipe need to be so big? Have you talked to Straightline Performance or SpeedWerx about whether they are working on a pipe for this sled? I know they plan to offer a few different mufflers, but what about an optional pipe/spark arrestor combo? Could see some performance gains and weight savings there I think. Congrats on the sled. Looks nice. Knowing the niche it fills and enjoying it for what it is will make it fun for sure. Last but not least, I thought this was going to be a sled for your daughter??
My daughter is 21. She can use my sleds but buy her own!

Exhaust today. I don’t know may be to loud. Buddy had a 250r race quad with a 500 Quadzilla motor in it. At idle sounds identical at throttle not so bad. You guys decide. Is for CTEK 800 fits nice. Sounds much nicer with body panel on. Very deep tone at idle. Dont know what I think about it under throttle. LOL!
