Man that is a big pipe for a little motor. I tend to see this motor like a larger 2T dirtbike motor, so why does the resonance chamber on this pipe need to be so big? Have you talked to Straightline Performance or SpeedWerx about whether they are working on a pipe for this sled? I know they plan to offer a few different mufflers, but what about an optional pipe/spark arrestor combo? Could see some performance gains and weight savings there I think. Congrats on the sled. Looks nice. Knowing the niche it fills and enjoying it for what it is will make it fun for sure. Last but not least, I thought this was going to be a sled for your daughter??
I think SLP has complete exhaust system in the works

Seen this while browsing Yamaha accessories . Not sure if it the same . 45 cad tho.As you may know battery is in front where cylinder would be. So tank has a big void. Venom seat is bolted on at rear. No clip so I would like to use this area for storage. Will either make bolt hand removable or make a clip.
Found this on Ebay. Should work fine. I will fab up a nice box to put in the hole soon. Might be able to fit a qt of oil for sure!

I think the stock one sounds pretty good. Honestly sounded kind of like a chain saw with the jaws muffler under throttle. But you know they always sound so much louder on the concrete floor in the garage. It's hard to tell until you get them out on the snow. I just took the Hindle off my Viper that I had on for the last 3 years, I loved the sound, but after an hour or so on the trail it was really getting to me. I must be getting old, ha ha.
Looks like you are having fun and that's the main point. Thanks for sharing.

I did same SXR. Every year I put can on Viper hoping for speed runs on river here. Will ride one big ride and put stock back on for rest of season. Definitely getting older and wiser!I think the stock one sounds pretty good. Honestly sounded kind of like a chain saw with the jaws muffler under throttle. Got Qs3 in today. Perfect fit. Was very surprised the air shock is very close in weight. Upgraded the reservoir cap right away and refreshed shock since was used. Pretty neat setup!
The seat knob came in also. May cut some off to make shorter but as is it’s very easy to remove and it’s billet.

I Have a fleet of 80’s snoscoots and snosports that I collected over the years that I finally decided to start selling as need to help fund the venoms as bank account took a major blow today.
Yes mine and wife’s , Yamaha red 18 YZ 500 big bore with yeti 129” .And pink 18 Yz 450 with yeti 129”

Right on! They have to be really fun. Neighbor is bringing his Alpha over tomorrow so we can do more good comparisons. My linkage at back where it attaches to rail is squeaking and driving me nuts! Plan to remove his whole skid and disassemble his squeaks too so will figure out a solution and want to try his seat. Congratulations on the sleds! You riding them or kids?I Have a fleet of 80’s snoscoots and snosports that I collected over the years that I finally decided to start selling as need to help fund the venoms as bank account took a major blow today.

Wife , kids , and I am sure I will put a good portion myself. Lol
Neighbors sled is all apart in my shop now! Glad he brought it over since learned a lot.
At 600mi and 1 season mostly off trail the skid bushings were darn near seized. The upper a arms also were seized. Bolt spinning rather than arm on bushing. All easy fixes with removal cleaning and greasing solving issue along with the annoying squeak. PUT SOME GREASE IN THEM AT FACTORY PLEASE. Shocks are almost useless with that much sticking and now I have to remove all the parts to do it on my brand new sled! Rant over. This was not fun but at least solutions were found.
Skid Wieghts This is comparison of a 154" Alpha Complete Skid to my Viper RR skid. Alot Lighter!
Found this bolt holding rear scissor on rail of his snapped off.Could have been very bad if other had went! Inspecting mine on Venom happy to say instead of two bolts its now a through bolt. So we drilled his through. Removal of a snapped Loctited bolt is almost impossible since much of skid is glued including this bracket. CANNOT use HEAT. Took a Carbide drill to go through bolt and carefully drilled through from good side. There is a reinforcement in there whole length of rail. You have to be perfect to avoid damaging that. Bolt is supported by it. Came out perfect. Could not get good pic of it but could see in there with flashlight. He just needs the longer bolt. Glad they improved that for ours!
Seat is not even close to fitting. Venom tank is just too long. Would have to put tank and seat on or use a 4 st seat which has battery hole. Not worth it. I really liked his seat since it had storage in back. Do the 4 st MTN seats have that?Hoping aftermarket covers become available soon. Shop is loaded. Three sleds and lot of shocks! I found his bag which has shovel holder is really nice. I am getting one and will utilize the rear mounts for my bag for the front of this one if I ever decide to just use one bag. So will have options.

Yes medium. I am going to wrap belt up and put it under the seat. I don’t suspect I will need a spare very often. The tunnel bag that fits into the rear of seat is considered the (Medium) tunnel bag. Correct? Where u mounting spare belt ? Tarps for ours arent supposed to show up till early january
