I got the cover yesterday. Still no rebate card. The tunnel bag that fits into the rear of seat is considered the (Medium) tunnel bag. Correct? Where u mounting spare belt ? Tarps for ours arent supposed to show up till early january
Took neighbors GGB trail can off his Alpha to try on Venom. Bottom mount hits battery box mount so mod would be needed. It has a less raspy sound at rpm but still way louder than stock.
I think I need to take his motor! The can is pretty quiet on his.

That can Sounds the best so far ! Wonder how it would sound outside with snow on the ground .... Maybe Saturday will give us enough ground cover to try it .
I agree but I also noticed the Jaws seems to be getting quieter. Not sure why but it’s noticeable. That can Sounds the best so far ! Wonder how it would sound outside with snow on the ground .... Maybe Saturday will give us enough ground cover to try it .

Have u noticed a small amount of belt slip at full throttle takeoff? Can faintly hear it on both machines. I am not very familiar with fine tuning these style of clutches.
Whole thing is a dog right now but no snow and not forming opinions till breakin is done. It will be a huge change once broke in. Trust me.Have u noticed a small amount of belt slip at full throttle takeoff? Can faintly hear it on both machines. I am not very familiar with fine tuning these style of clutches.
How much time do you put into breaking in a 2T motor? Personally, when it comes to 2-strokes I will start the engine and vary the idle speed from mid rpm idle (say 650-700 RPMs) to slightly higher idle speeds (750-1200) for about 4-5 minutes, or until the motor starts to get hot. I then shut it off and let the engine cool down before repeating this warm-up/cool-down process about 3 more times, gradually increasing idle speeds with each heat cycle. After that, I warm it up and go for a ride, varying rpms and speed as I run through the gearing. I'm referring to 2T bikes, not sleds here ... but other than a bike not having a CVT, I would think the process would be similar. After I've ridden the bike like this for a few minutes (maybe 4-5) the first time, then allowing the engine to cool, and repeating this process for a slightly longer period (5-10 minutes) on the next heat cycle, then cooling once more and riding once more for about 10-15 minutes, I'm done. It's not like breaking in a 4T motor.
Union Shock break!
Belt. Info not available and neither are belts

Bought a cat tool to open clutch. Worked great as shown. Will find a close belt tomorrow.

I do the heat cycles like you then I have a trail I go on that is very tight and fun. No straights of any consequence for 40 mi. Forces throttle variation. And I ride it as fast as I can which is never more than 50 for more than a 2 count. Makes break in FUN!How much time do you put into breaking in a 2T motor? Ok Cat belts are in. Keep in mind a sled at this power level the belt will rot before it blows. My Phazer with over 20000mi All 3 belts I had on it we’re still good. That said the price of Yamaha belt is way higher than the Cat. Over $100 for Yamaha. So unless your feeling charitable get Cat.

Do I read this correctly? Have you already blown a belt?

NO! Read it again. Is always that chance though. So should always have spare!Do I read this correctly? Have you already blown a belt?
Lighter note. Not sure I am ready to put it on neighbors truck. Dang that’s up there!
I can’t think of anything else I want to do to this sled so on to the next and wait for deep snow! I did put belt where battery is on Viper. It’s not pretty and probably will ruin belt from being curled up but good enough and it’s out of way. Hoping I can remove battery and starter but will have to wait for -20f to test that theory see if I can pull it over fast enough.
