It’s In! Venom Mountain

Ultimate goal is to delete the battery and starter. I had them leave batt out even but I think before going that route I am going to wait for cold weather. This one pulls just as hard as a 2 cylinder. The demo I tried pulled very easily so could just be breakin not sure but easy enough to do later. I will put my 19000 mi original Viper battery in and the new one in the Viper. They are identical. I have been thinking of new one for Viper last few seasons so nice. This sled can always pull start it if issue anyway, Rope is also routed way nicer than my 800RR. straight shot and not rubbing on wires or coil mount. Batt is 14.6lb.View attachment 157449
Why not put the recoil on a shelf in your shop, and get a lithium battery?

I am almost positive the battery and starter weigh more than recoil. Even if lithium battery which costs more $. I like free. Good suggestion though especially if I can’t pull it over when cold. Thanks

Little disappointed. Buddy of mine is a CV Tec dealer. CvTec does not offer support for our clutches. So we will have to figure out on our own what parts are interchangeable with TrailBloc and our Cat and yamaha parts when they offer them. I have a catalog coming from CV. Here is Spring chart.

Thanks guys! I also added a cheap LED headlight. Plugged right in. Its going to be very hard to leave it at home for next weekend. But not enough snow for that. Yamahaguy I cant wait either. Muni will be the first time I am sure. Miss you all!

Awesome, congrats on getting it done!!! You sure are talented and smart. Joe

Going to be awesome to see you off trail again:sled1:

Mountain Max seat fits perfect. Looks great and more importantly is much better on knees and I have short legs and only 5’8” so smaller than many teens! On back order though.

As said in other thread this Venom over revs and hits Rev limiter way to easy. Anyone riding on the limiter could very well be damaging engine. I saw it come on at about 7650rpm and very hard at 7700rpm. Dont ride like that! Stock weights are on spec sheet at 11.5 Grams for my Mountain which is supposed to have sea level Calibration. So according to CV Tech 0901-7104 is 12Grams which is same as my crummy scale measures stock. I just installed the 0901-7116 which is 13 Grams and next step. Since I am hitting limiter I have no idea how far over I am revving so hoping to get lucky with this one step. I confirm if needing in between steps a penny would work very well with regular slug put in over it to make sure it doesnt come out. I used a punch to push weight slug out and a socket to push them in. By hand. Very easy and just have to test now.
