A friend of mine has the 159 finger track on his RX1, He goes easily where I have to throttle her up a lot more. I was impressed with it. What's your opinions on this track?

I think it's all the kind of riding you're doing. I would think that the finger tracks would suit you mountain guys better. But trail riding, it's a whole different story. Personally, after the 121" finger, I will NEVER own a finger track again.
Just my opinion.....

Treewhacker, I feel your pain buddy! I still like the idea of a finger track as well. Can you imagine the pull on your arms when all those fingers are hooking up? There's a 2" and a 2.25" finger track. I like the looks of the Predator tracks. They are only up to 1.5" currently but I expect Camoplasts NEW powder track to look similar to the 1.5" 690-9858 or the 1.187" 690-9892 Predator tracks. You can see the pictures of them on www. tracksusa.com They have more paddles along with the fingers on the track. I personally want the best of both worlds. Paddles for the deep, deep stuff and fingers to rip my arms off when I wind up on trail. I really don't want to give up my deep powder performance in the early season baseless powder for an improvement in setup snow and trails.
I wonder? Here in the Pacific Northwest (I'll include NW Montana) the snow is never the consistancy of Utah, Colorado, ect. It's heavier, wetter, denser, ect. Hence the skiers call it "Sierra cement". Perhaps a finger track would work better around here much more of the year than it would in places with baseless "sugar" snow? Powder Blue

I have not heard good things about the Fingers.
Ask Sled Nazi (aka SS). If I remember right he had one and hated it.
I went with the stiffer paddle 159 track and LOVE IT. We definately have the heavier snow here. Not the light majorly fluffy stuff like they have in UT.

Looks like we have a lot of finger track lover,s.I for one would not go back to any other one.A 1.25" staggered paddle is a all around track.

OKK|, I didn't realize they made a combination finger paddle track. Maybe that would be the way to go because I don't want to lose any powder performancve. My 151 camo paddle works pretty good in the powder.
