Does anyone know when or how much mileage would be good to change the bearing on the driveshaft or as I call it Jackshaft? I have 6000 miles on my Apex and am thinking I might want to just go ahead and change out these bearings before one blows? Any suggestions or a link that will lead me to the corret thread?
Thanks,

If they are running fine keep them check for play or if it sticks then put in new ones

Understandable but is it that easy to check. Does anyone have a fail safe way to check these bearings without tearing the entire machine apart? I have to replace y-pipes before season so I thought it would be a good idea to have parts ready at the same time for this if needed.

I changed mine at 10,700 miles. Did I need to? No. There was no difference between old and new. I also clean and repack them once a season. Only reason I changed them was I was replacing track and it would be all apart anyway. I still have the old ones and they roll smooth as silk.

Peel the seals carefully and re-pack-em. they last as long as you do this once or twice a season. I even got the original Attak non-replaceable wheel bearings to last 3 seasons by doing this.
