Trying to change upper jackshaft chaincase bearing cannot get the nut to release. Wonder if I can take off clutch side snap ring and hit out that way? Thanks

Its hard explain, you have to tap it in with a deep socket. If you had the manual you would understand. Become a VIP and I will send you the manual and it shows how to remove that.

Thanks. Put nut back on sleeve boogered up threads now sleeve on nut both spinning. Will the sleeve and nut fit through the back side. I can get shaft and clutch side bearing to move but then stops wondering if sleeve and nut wont fit through seal on chaincase side.

If you are past point of getting that tapered collar off and want to save jackshaft you will have to take bolts out of spar on clutch side and clip out of chaincase holding bearing in. Rotate the spar till it clears enough to push spar and jackshaft toward chaincase enough to cut a slit in the bearing and a chisel to snap it off. Dont cut into jackshaft. just enough to split bearing with chisel.

Finally got it off. There is a lot of #*$&@ to take off. Now looking for parts that are actually in stock.
