John Kerry's Position on Snowmobiling

Following the Democratic National Convention, the Democratic Party
published "The Kerry-Edwards Vision for A Cleaner Environment, A
Stronger Economy and Healthier Communities".

On page 8 of this "Vision", the following information is contained and I
quote it verbatim: "PROTECT OUR FORESTS - In addition, the Kerry-Edwards
"Conservation Covenant" will end the logging of rare old growth trees on
our public lands. These public resources will be protected in the
Kerry-Edwards administration. Honor the Solitude and Beauty of
Wilderness Areas and Our National Parks by Keeping Snowmobiles and Jet
Skis Out of Yellowstone and Other Sensitive Areas, and by Honestly
Addressing Visitor and Wildlife Needs in Our National Parks. John Kerry
will reinstate the Clinton administration's phase-out of noisy and
polluting snowmobiles, which have been overrunning some of our most
precious national lands, including Yellowstone Nation Park and Grand
Teton National Park. While snowmobiles, jet skis and all terrain
vehicles have their place, they do not mix with sensitive wildlife
resources and our nation's treasured wild places."

Not a big fan of this guy! :ORC Why oh why do these people not
know or tell the public the tiny 1/10 of a percent if that - that our recreational products add to the overall polutants. Every year our
sleds/atv's etc have made drastic improvements on emissions.
4 strokes and SDI are becoming more popular every year. These
folks just pull in backers from the un-informed public for political reasons.

IMO, Every election brings forth more promises, tax cuts, and whatever else they can dream up.... But yet nothing really changes.. One person will do something big that the next one will change down the road... The only thing that i see getting accomplished is well i cant think of anything......... Politics have become a complete and total joke.. However they do seem to be pretty good at keeping the greenies happy by shutting down public land for are sold called polluting ATV's
