I'm a newbie to ATV's and have several questions:
1) How do I get an owners manual - - Yamaha gets $20 which is ok, but, $8 shipping is ridiculous. I can't seem to access it online.
2) Does this model have a brake light?
3) Does this model have an oil filter and where is it?

yes it has a brake light. might only need a new bulb if it is not working.
the oild filter should be on the left side of the bike. it should be behind the gear lever behind the recoil.
as to the owners manual, can't your local dealer order one for you?

I looked on the yamaha oem parts site and in the oil pump section there is a"element assy, oil cleaner" sku 1uy-13440-02-00.
It looks lke it is behind the housing for oil cooler lines.
I checked out the rear light. It has a single element bulb and only has one 12v wire to it. Normally I would expect a dual element bulband two wires - one for taillight and one for brake. The bulb lights when the headlights are on.
I'll try my local dealer for the manual.

No brake light, just a tail light on the older wolvies
