OK, then every one of the yamahas we have put them on is different than yours.
On the 12 we have installed them on, low beam points at the ground, high beam points into the trees.
Up here in the northeast the ground is down and the trees are up - jk.

Technically you are both right but nobody here has even mentioned the reflector since no options are available. The issue is just like Wavemaster stated if low beam is set for best vision near you high beam is only good for Coon hunting and finding Mountain Lions up in trees ready to jump at ya! Maybe the Cat guys are up in the trees and us Vipers strike from the ground!
Sorry savage I shouldnt go there but couldnt resist.

no im talking the bulb not the headlight aiming....if the bulb is tipped up on low beam it uses the top reflector of the housing to push the light down, flip the high beam on and it pulls the bulb down..and uses more of the lower reflector to beam the light up and out making this a longer and higher beam then when the bulb is tipped up. The top reflector shoots the light at the ground the bottom is what gives you your distance

The ones we are talking about pull in and out, not up and down.
In for high beam, out for low beam.
In for high beam, out for low beam.

TD are you trying to get more differential? I had my old 4500 Rock kit in viper from the Phazer and it rocked on low but had no pattern on high. Rock hooked me up with his new 6500 kit and I would say high to low split is perfect. Better than the split with stock bulbs. If you look in the headlight housing there is a ledge that keeps bulb from sitting flat. I heated up a screwdriver red hot and removed that ledge so bulb sits flat. Did that previously trying to get the old bulbs to work but it ended up perfect with the new 6500's. Very happy.
Anyone else have tried this 6500 kit? Please comment...

Which type led bulb do you have? This is 1800 lumens leds. Amd one pic is with high beams on and one with low beams. The garage is about 140 ft away so gives u a good idea how bright these really are. I luv them
