How wide are you going to make the a arms? Are they going to be like the FX and the GT a arms which are the same size or like the MTX a arms? You have to also think about the swing arm to. The GT mounts different from the FX and MTX. Just in case you didn't know.

I think at that price you will sell all you can make. But I really want the first set you sell. I have decided to just keep the phazer and really pump it out cause I fking love it.07fx said:the price is right huh guys? ill keep in touch for release dates. im thinkin on doin the rear suspension too since ive broke it 4 times already. anybody interested in that?

Interested in a wide set as well, perhaps consider red, yellow, blue, white, and black, that will suit all the sled colors they've used so far.
I always thought $100 each was much too high, I would think $60-$80ea would be spot on.
You could also offer accessories such as shock bottom guards and arm protectors (i.e vinyl graphics get you/ free advertising). You might also consider your own bushing kit etc.
One other thought, incorporate zerks fittings! FTW
Another idea, take a look at the max width sleds can be legally (I don't recall what it is, but many/most phazer owners shift the ski to the outside for width/handling, causing excess wear on the ski adaptors. If you made the arms a hair wider so we could run the ski in the middle setting, that would very cool.
Last idea, related to arms, look into a top shock mount extension perhaps? One of the major handling issue with the sled is the shock angle, it's leaned in too far. You could come up with a bolt on/weld on top shock adapter that moves out the mount about 1/2-3/4 inch. Limiting factor is the bracing on the top arm, it will cause interferance if you stand it up too far.

Really the last idea, how about a much heavier swaybar?
Sorry this seems like alot, but there is alot of need for these parts to make the phazer a much stronger and agile performer.

"Zerks" what are those anymore?? Seems like nothing really has 'em on....
My '02 Dodge Dakota quad cab 4x4 has been thru 4 front wheel bearings (SKF @ $200+/ side). The NAPA store now gives me a "frequent buyer" discount but still a PITA every 2 years or so. I've looked into drilling them out and zerking but it's a sealed unit and no room for error/ voids the "limited lifetime warranty" which is a joke in itself!

i was thinking on making mine about a inch wider each side. just to test it id prolly make a set the regular width. we were gunna make our own bushings and also put zerks in them as well. im not sure on the mountain lite a arms because we only have a phazer fx and nytro mtx in our hands. we have other sleds too like a polaris rush and a xc 600 and a ski doo summit 800 and we are planning on making loads of parts for all of them. we also own a vinyl graphics company so we were planning on making wraps for sleds because i think 250 is too much for a wrap especially when you have to put it on yourself with no room for error. if anyone is located close to northern north dakota let me know maybe we can get you "prototype hook ups" on your mountain lites. youd be amazed at what we can do at our shop between a plasma table, 2 cnc centers, 4 robot welders, tig welder, and all the pipe and iron you can work on ha. keep the ideas comming and if you could pm me some pics of your mountain lite a arms with dimensions so i can get a idea. were still waiting on the pipe to arrive and a tubing notcher so the mass production after we get all the kinks worked out might be late in the season. sorry for jackin the thread it wasnt my intention. just pm me with ideas and if i dont respond dont worry i will read it and will look into it. thanks guys and keep postin pics of your sleds doin crazy #*$&@!
a inch or two wider would make a world of difference, and allow a guy to go up on the front limiting strap closer to stock setting. You can lenghtnen the tie-rods if need be by adding a inch or two then running a sleeve on them to strenghten them. This is done on honda pilots all the time, and the wider a-arms give you more travel and better stability which would really help the phazer.
Yes wider is better and nobody I know has ever been checked by law enforcement for compliance.I would take the chance.

I'm working with Robb now on a layout for my MTX. He has a wicked cool RTX Phazer sitting in his show, sold me in a second.

Hey thanks I'm pretty happy with it. It's a solid sled. Hygear did the suspension, simmons skis, rox riser, handguards, and number plates. Nextech carbon wheels, frogzskins new vent kits for the phazer, other than that it's bone stock, and a blast. I figured down the road i'll probably supercharge it.spike337 said:Sweetjob, that is the best looking Phazer i've seen!
