we are going to be in Phillips area the weekend before the giveaway, coming home on sunday and heading for Muni on wed. should be there around noon or so.

OK...so whats the point of coming home for 2 days? I say we stay up there the week baby!

Well, with the trails being only fair at best in SW MI right now, and with the weekend warm-up coming….we have been looking into changing out destination to central WI….specifically the Portage/Arlington area. They have excellent trails right now with a really good base which is a lot more than can be said for SW MI trails which are already down to dirt in places. Jen and I have been checking out trail reports and weather forecasts for the two locations today. The highs for the weekend are pretty comparable, with central WI staying a couple degrees cooler, but their trails stand a lot better of a chance with a little warm up as they have a lot better base to start with. Let’s hear some thoughts on this…maybe we can find a place on a trail too and not have to trailer every day!!!

looks like plans are changing with the weather! we are heading to Lodi/Arlington, Wi. area. staying at the Lodi best western. Weather on the east side of the lake is going to get warm and trails are deteriorating fast!

Have not heard from the Capt. yet. Not sure what his plans are.
I am sure he is burried DEEP into whatever he is into

Jaron to bad you can not get there Friday. We will try and save you some snow on the trails :)

As for the Capt. he always seems to be in one deep whole after another. Dam spelunker :)

Up in the air guys. I have a 16 year old Golden who took a turn for the worse Sunday/Monday...so I may have to put him down soon. =(
Taking him back in to the vet tonight for a shot to see if we can jump start his tummy. If that don't work and he still don't want to eat/drink we gotta say goodbye. He has done this before but he usually comes around in a day or two. This time it seems like it may be something more. Blood test on Monday showed much higher liver counts than last year at this time.
We just put our 13 year old Golden down in October so if we have to put this one down I can't leave the wife home alone after that....plus I really don't think I'll be in much of a mood either. He is my first dog and I went through a lot with this guy over the past 16 and a half years...

Sucks they live such short lives. He is our pal....sad to see him so down...but 16.5 is pretty darn good for a golden. Record is 21. I was hoping....=/

Sorry for being a Debbie Downer here in the thread...but just wanted to let ya's know I may not be up there for this one.

If I don't make it...you guys have a great time and stay safe!!!

Mark, I'll shoot a text if I do end up hitting the road. It's 50/50 right now....maybe even less...
