just buy some clear vinyl where your feet will rub that will take care of that problem.

Arctic FX sells a clear precut wrap for the tunnel for $50. They call it a tunnel saver. Fits the Cat procross so it will fit the Yamaha's. It's a very nice piece.

I tried the clear tape on my Apex and the heat from the heat exchangers on the foot boards, combined with the friction from the boot heel caused the tape to slide away from the area i wanted to protect.
I started stocking plasti-dip at work and they make it in clear, so i am going to try that.

Plasti dip would be more durable for sure. Didn't know you could get it in clear.
