Had trouble with my machine running in hard snow conditions. Contacted Yamaha Canada but had very poor service. They tell my they don't make an aux cooler for the attak. Have heard they work well on the apex. Need help to find an aftermarket cooler. Any suggestions?

Pioneer performance listed, but i think the attak was alot more than the small one for the apex, the apex one was like 57 bucks and the attak like 150 bucks, but give them a call.

716-496-8800 ask for bruce.

I think some people where using the heat exchanger from the yamaha vector on there apex last year not sure if it works on the attak ,part# is 8et-rhecr-kt ,was going to try one on my apex because I had some issues with overheating on real cold mornings when the trail was real hard, but I decided to just drain the straight antifreeze out of it and refill with a 50/50 mix and added some water wetter and see if that works if not I will be adding the heat exchanger.

Apex/RX-1/Nytro/RS Vector All 121" models and also 144" models:
Yamaha Part Number: 8ET-RHECR-KT-00
Price: $35.20

Allen, the larger cooler needed added protection from studs, does the same hold true for the smaller one for the Apex?

Dan, the 136 needs protectors with it when running studs, but from my experience the 121 cooler does not. It mainly sits back against the rear flap/aluminum end cap in the tunnel so I don't believe it would need one.

I'd do this or like my machine has ENGINE ICE

thanks for the info. I will do some calling around to make sure fit between the tunnel protectors. Also just curious if many people have this trouble with attak/apex running hot.

Attak rear cooler

Not to sound dumb but where do the guards go for the aux. cooler. I have the kit for my attak. It says nothing about studs, in the directions.
Thanks Rich
