Looking hard into nytros.....need some opinions/advice

Hauck Exhaust, Yamahheater, Lake Effect risers with RSI bars, extra wheels in suspension, came with complete 2011 front-end including a reinforced subframe (not sure what im going to do with that yet as the one on it is totally fine). It's an 08 with 3700 miles and in great condition and fresh oil change with K&N filter. I picked it up for 5750, what do you guys think? So far I think i'm goona love it!...waiting on powermadd handguards to come in and currently ordering a set of C&A skis for it.

Sounds like a sweet sled with the updated front end and all the extras.

Thanks pro....forgot to add it has schmitt bros clutch kit and ball joint fix. It just has the stock header but hauck exhaust tip. It came with the Hauck header and copper donuts to complete the entire exhaust and he recommend that I put that on, will i need some sort of fuel controller if I put the header on?

Sounds like your got a nice sled! Congrats you will have a absolute blast this winter on it. If you put on the header you will need to add some sort of fuel controller to add some fuel to it.

yami123 hauck site, hauckpowersportsinc.com makes no mention of needing a fuel controller for the combo or the pipe or header by itself. Check it out. Generally it is mentioned if it is required otherwise the consequences for hauck would be horrible if damage were to occur from not using a fuel controller. Just fyi

Thanks man, maybe I will just put the copper donuts in the stock header then, I really don't want to have to mess with a fuel controller or maybe i'll call Hauck and see if it's needed for sure. #*$&@ i tried getting to the header/exhaust today and couldn't get any farther then getting the damn seat off.

HAHA, welcome to the world of Yamaha, unfortunately it's the nature of the beast, you'll get good at it.

As for the Skis, I would strongly reconsider the C&A's, unless you spend a lot of time in the gym, you'll be pretty whipped at the end of the day. I had Curve's on my S.E. and honestly think they work very well on the Nytro, enough bite to be confident in the sled, yet allow you to ride aggressively all day without turning into Gumby. They usually have some type of demo each year, if you can I would wait and try them.

I've run C&A Trail Xs on my 08 RTX for 3 seasons now...Zero issues with having sore arms at the end of the day. Maybe a more aggressive model like the XTXs or Outlaws...but the lower end models have a shallower keel and are not hard on the arms at all. Plus you should shim the ski, that make s a bid difference as well.
