Low finish helix

Bob, your sled is a 2018? My finishing angle is 39, I'm considering a straight 39 next year over the stock 35/39.
My sled id a 2019 X-TX LE
Don't let the SRX decals fool you:)

The Multi Angle Helix has been working real well for me

The 41/35 upshifts a little quicker initially then the 39/35 so if all other things being equal it would be a little less snappy.

Bob, I'm confused I thought the 41/35 should be a little snappier at slower speeds than a 39/35? I thought a steeper/higher initial angle allowed the sled to accelerate quicker, and the lower finish angle allowed higher top end speeds. Thanks.

A higher starting angle on a helix wants to upshift faster initially which means it will load the motor more pulling down rpms, this can give the feeling of less throttle response like having your vehicle in a higher gear compared to a lower gear. A lower finish angle loads the motor less and increases belt side pressure when it is already working very hard so the revs don't start falling off.
This is an over simplification and it varies from sled to sled.

It will slow the sled down
Not going to gain anything but belt pinch in secondary

It all depends on what belt hardness/stick, gearing, tune, secondary/primary spring, weight profile and motor alignment. Conditions really make a big difference also.

Why do you think reducing offset too 58mm (Hurricane specs) helped so many from blowing belts?

I actually changed out those 6mm flat heads with 5/16” bolts for extra strength.

I considered going to a 38 or 39 helix as well but after seeing so many reports of great performance with the original straight 35 I decided to use the 35 as my finished angle. So far so good.
