Any of you guys running the Low Snow Wheels on the front of your rear skid?? I went through a set of sliders a little quicker than I would like and am hoping this solves the problem. They wore through right at the bend in the rails. I run a 1.5" Freeride and I probably had it a bit tight, also rode some really hard pack trails and lake for 50 miles.

I'm going to add the extra wheels (Yamaha or Fix), try the HiPerf Hyfax, and loosen up the track......hoping this will help.

Any thoughts??

That's what I did and it helped. My first set of hyfax were toast in 240 miles. I bought the carbon hyfax and put the wheels at the bend and it extended my hyfax life to about 800 miles per set. Still with 1800 miles on my sled last season I ended putting three sets of hyfax on my sled last season. Then I put another set on the beginning of this season.

Hmmm......Is anybody with Phazers getting 1000 or more miles on their Hyfax???

Yeah, I have a little over a 1000 miles on mine and the slides are worn about half way at the bend

cdsgraphic......did you do anything to extand hyfax wear?? Are you running your track pretty loose??

Just trying to figure this out.....Thanks.

I got 2000mi on mine. But they went bad in one ride on very hardpacked snow.Never smelt or felt anything.I am thinking of moving front idler forward somehow since my wear happened in front of idler. My limiter strap is shortend from stock 2 holes so that isnt reason this happened.Rest of skid has not worn at all since over a 1000 miles ago. Here is a pic.

Yup......same as me basically one ride on hardpack bad snow. But mine wore a couple inches ahead of yours. Right at the curve where the track comes into contact with the hyfax. I'm sure I had my track too tight. I'm going to loosen it till it ratchets and then tighten slightly.

I will try that also.I think they dont have enough bend in the rail. Was looking at it and only other solution would be to add a bigger dia wheel. There isnt anywhere to add any wheels in front of stock.

i have 1300 miles on mine originals broken in properly and they are still good but with lo sno here i should replace before riding really happens wheels will help had them on my polaris.

Found some wheels that are just a bit bigger dia than stock.Replaceable bearings also.SkiDoo though! Will post some pics but it is not a direct bolt on since the bearing is wider in new ones.Spacers will need to be shortened and same with the aluminum bungs to do it right.

Here are the wheels. They fit the dia but since bearing is wider length of dia on this piece and the outer idlers will have to be machined. These wheels are just slightly larger than ours about 3/16"total so should help.

Do their wheels go in front of the stock ones which is where my slide wear occurred?Must have to drill holes in rail if they have that.If not it wont help mine since the rest of slide is fine. Will be calling them to see. Thanks for heads up.
