Anybody out there put an M-10 in a Vector, or know of anybody who has? I'm putting a genuine FAST M-10 w/Ohlins into my 2005 Vector ER.

Any install or tuning tips?

THanks in advance!!!

:yam: ;)!

edit - already sold the old skid

I never put one in a Vector, just 3 SRX's and an Arctic Cat ZR 700. You will absolutely love that suspension. Don't let anyone tell you different. I believe that somewhere on this site under product tests they review the installation on an RX1 which should be pretty close to the same.

Got the mount kit from Rich Motorsports in Butte des Morts, WI (near Appleton). Thanks Rich for getting it to me so quickly!

Install directions are excellent, and the install looks MUCH EASIER than I thought it would be. The front shaft mounts right where the footwells are, and the rear shaft mounts in the existing rear shaft mount plate. THe plate has to be moved a bit, but it's easy, and again the directions are very clear on what to do.

Gonna have a real fun TUrkey Day putting the M10 in, getting it setup and then diving into the food and drink!

Thanks again Rich Motorsports and thanks FAST for making such a GREAT product!

THe M10 is in! I took my time on the install and overall it went really well. FAST could have added a few more details to the install sheet, but that's OK.

Just sitting on it in the garage told me = now this is what a suspension should feel like!!!

Was out running around the yard last night b4 the snow melts today (gonna be 40 deg) and made sure there were no surprises like clunks, rattles etc. SO FAR SO GOOD. Sled steered really well..too well which tells me I may be a little light in the ski pressure area. But it's too early to tell, and can be easily adjusted if needed.

Now all I need is some snow to ride on upnorth!!!! The first ride will have some finetuning involved but that's OK!!!!

Let us know if this helps with the track noise.

I'll be posting a full report with pics soon, but it DID NOT help the track noise situation. I dont think the skid has anything to do with the noise....it's the tunnel that the skid is in. We must be hitting a certain frequency range that causes the tunnel to reverbeate. THe tunnell does seem to be thin compatred to other sleds I've owned.

I might try riveting in some thicker aluminum strips inside of the tunnel to see if that helps.

When I did cleanup and greasing on sled, last spring, I started it up
and ran engine just fast enough to run the track slow. Each clip would
hit the hifax and push the track down. When I rev it up some the track
would start vibrating between drive axle and front of slid suspension.
I was thinking the noise was a combination of clips hitting the hifax and the track vibrating mite cause resonating into the tunnel.
I thought maybe the m-10 suspension had a flater radius in front and
the clips would not hit as hard.
Next week I am going to get the sled out and fully clip the track. Some
say it dosen't help the noise, but the track should slide easier.

The from radius is flatter, which should lead to much better hyfax wear vs. the stock skid. THe M10 is known to be easy on hyfax. I have all my windows opened up, and plan to have the track fully clipped sometime this season. Have to have a local sled shop do it because I cant find anybody with a clip tool.

here's a few pics of the finished product and sled!

Finely got some time to clip the track a couple weeks ago, then had to waite for some snow. I ran the sled with the track in the air as before and it runs smoother and quieter than before. Went about 30 miles yesterday. You can still hear some track noise, but not the growley rumbley noise it had before. I feel it was well worth the time and money
to make it a more enjoyable sled.
I put a m-10 in my 98 xc 4 years ago, made it a totaley different sled.
