MANY PICS 2011 and video

looks like a new apex, and since it sounds like a 4 cyl. must be the newer 180hp r1 motor? and if this things any lighter... wow! can't wait

We have seen the future.........................and it looks good,REAL GOOD :yam: .

I hope that it is a new chain drive gear reduction system, linked directly to the secondary. :tg:

It seems every year, BB teases us, but always says: "Your dream machine is still a model year away". :o|

You guys like my Arctic Blast lingering down there amongst you civilized folks? At least the sledders are loving it

RX-E

Looks to be sporting new ski design(M9?),plus it has coolers on the running boards. This is not a touring sled.

it looks to be a longtrack.....sounds for sure like 4 cyl!!!

Dan

I listened to the beginning a few times... You are right Dan, it does sound like the 4 banger.

Well it looks like to me another heavy trail sled. Windshield definetly tells you its for trails. The track looks like ripsaw (junk). Doesnt look long to me. And if it is a crossover, I would think Yamaha would get there heads out of there a!@ and put a track that is at least 1.5" paddle type.

Hopefully they can keep the weight under 500Ibs with fuel. I care less about speed. I want light and nimble. And finally they definetly need new ski's and a redesign steering linkage. To many moving pivots around the 4 stroke motor. Way too much effort in turning compared too other manufactures.

I see you like Yamaha...lol

No HID's yet....
Definitely sounds like a 4 holer.
Dig the exhaust too...looks like a sleeping dragon.... :yam:

Looks like a new 2-stroke under the hood judging from the way the smoke is bellowing out from the rear exhaust outlets. My guess is it has an unreliable, belt blowing, crankshaft bearing smokin', connector rod throwing, piston scorin' and efi burbling and choking 800cc twin 2 stroke to compete with the best from Doo and Poo!

3 cylinder, 120 HP, rider forward adaptation of the delta box II chassis. My guess anyway.

The higher the lug, the more wear on the track and less handling on the trails. 1.25 lug is plenty if you know how to drive unless you are driving in the mountains.. Better skis and steering effort would be nice..Time will tell what direction Yamaha is heading......
